Textile Martisoare

The textile Martisoare presented in this section are of two kinds:

Martisoare out of textile fabrics are  a stylized representation  of the fringes on thread, the thread itself being an expresion full of significance of the holiday of Martisor, of duality, the fringes remembering also the tradition of the peasant, the one who has always been the bearer of Romanian traditions. This way the two figurines make us think of the peasant dressed in traditional costumes.

The figurines are attached to a carboard cover each with its own envelope.

Martisoare made out of textiles are representations of the four leaf clover, symbol of good luck, or representations of the peasant couple dressed in traditional costumes, symbol of Romanian tradition.
